Part 1 — For the buyer

1. What the gift page is. Each Lockette order comes with one private web page at a long, random link. If you set a memory question, the page opens after the visitor answers it. The QR code on the printed card contains that link, and the AR scan opens the same page.

2. How private it is.

• You choose whether to lock the page with a memory question. Without a question, anyone who has the link sees the names, photo and message straight away. The link is long and unguessable; share it only with the person it is for. If it leaks, make a new private link (section 5).
• The link is long and random (128 bits), so it cannot realistically be guessed. The link is what keeps the page private.
• The memory question is a romantic lock, not security: someone who knows you both may be able to answer it. We limit how many wrong answers can be tried.
• Someone who has the link but not the answer sees only "A gift is waiting for you", your questions and your hints. They do not see names, the photo or the message. Write questions and hints that do not give away private details.
• Once a browser has unlocked the page, it stays unlocked on that browser for 30 days (a small cookie), unless you sign everyone out (section 5).
• Treat the page like a private letter: anyone with the link who knows the answer can open it.

3. Sharing the link.

• Share it only with the person the gift is for.
• Do not post the link or the QR code publicly (social media, group chats, or printed where others can scan it).
• The recipient may share it; once shared, we cannot control who sees it.
• We never publish gift pages, list them in search engines or show them in our marketing. Gift pages tell search engines not to list them.

4. "Opened" notice. If you turn it on, we tell you when the gift is first opened. The page tells the recipient that you will see this. It is off by default.

5. Your owner page. We email you a private owner link at delivery. Keep it secret: anyone with it can manage the gift. From the owner page you can:

• Open without questions: get a direct link that skips the question, for a recipient who is stuck.
• Sign everyone out: every browser must answer again.
• New private link: we make a new long link and a new QR code. The old link and the QR on any card you already printed stop working. You will need to print the card again from the new PDF.
• Delete everything: the page, photo, message and PDFs are deleted at once. This cannot be undone.

5A. No changes after purchase. In this version you cannot change the photo, message, names, questions or card design after you order, so please check everything before you pay. If the recipient cannot remember the answer, use Open without questions. If we made a mistake, we fix it (Terms of Sale, section 9).

5B. My gifts. You can also manage your gifts at "My gifts" on our website. Type the email you paid with and we email you a sign-in link that works once, for 15 minutes. Anyone who can read that inbox can sign in, so keep it secure.

6. Removal by the recipient or people shown.

• The recipient can tap Remove this page on the gift page, with no account. The page is hidden at once and we tell you. The page stays off. You may reply within 7 days if you believe the request did not come from the recipient (for example someone else got hold of the link); otherwise the content is deleted after 7 days. If the recipient or a person shown objects, the page is not restored.
• Anyone else shown in the photo can ask us the same through support@lockettegift.com.
• Anyone can report a page that breaks the Acceptable Content Policy through Report this page.

7. How long it lasts (lifetime).

• The gift page stays online for 12 months from delivery. The owner page and your emails show the end date.
• We email you 30 days and 7 days before it ends, with a keepsake download (photo, message and PDF in one file). You can also download it any time from the owner page.
• When it ends, the page shows "This gift has ended" without your names. The photo, message, answers and PDFs are deleted 30 days later. Backups age out on their normal cycle.
• The printed card stays yours. After the page ends, scanning it no longer opens the gift.
• If we ever close Lockette, we give at least 90 days' notice by email and a way to download your content.

8. Availability. We aim to keep gift pages working at all times but cannot promise they will never be down. If a page is down for more than 7 days in a row through our fault, tell us and we keep it online longer by at least the same period.

9. Language. These terms are in English and Bahasa Malaysia. If they differ, the English version applies, except that a consumer in Malaysia may rely on whichever version is more favourable to them.
